FIRST RELEASE OF STATE HISTORICAL DEATH SUMMARIES  

Eighty men from Kossuth county lost their lives while in the service of their country in World War II.

Tikonta, Ia.
Died of wounds suffered in action April 9, 1945.
Parents:  Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tryon, Austin, Minn., Rt. 3 (formerly of Titonka, Ia.)

Roy Eldon Tryon was born Aug. 13, 1922 to Frank and Minnie Augusta Ama Tryon. He died Apr. 9, 1945 and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

Pvt. Tryon served in World War II with the U.S. Army 359th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division and died from wounds received in action.
