Pvt. Lloyd Janes Thurmond

 

 

 

REPORTED WOUNDED

WILLIAMS—Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Thurmond of Williams that their son, Pvt. Lloyd Z. Thurmond has been wounded in action in New Guinea and is now at a base hospital. Everette Thurmond, another son, is stationed with an infantry division at Camp Blanding, Fla.

Lloyd Janes Thurmond was born Blairsburg, IA on Nov. 8, 1918 to Albert Henry and Eva Abigail Janes Thurmond. He died May 22, 1990 and is buried in North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA.

Pvt. Thurmond was wounded in action in New Guinea.
