Duane Harold Thompson was born Aug. 20, 1924 to Richard T. and Pearl Mary Thompson Thompson. He died Apr. 29, 1944 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah, IA.
Pvt. Thompson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 549th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion. He died from injuries in an auto accident while in the service of his country.
