Ralph Arthur Thiessen was born Feb. 29, 1920 to Harold Eldon and Grace L. Simons Thiessen. He died Jan. 6, 1945 and is buried in Hamburg Cemetery, Hamburg, IA.
Capt. Thiessen served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died as the result of an airplane crash at Redmond Army Air Base, Redmond, OR while serving his country.
