Vernon Christian Thielen was born Aug. 5, 1924 to Peter Anthony and Barbara Anna Schlader Thielen. He died Jan. 14, 1954 and is buried in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Wright County, IA.
Vernon served with the U.S. Army in World War II with Co. M, 346th Infantry, 87th Infantry Division.
