Schaller, Ia.—Pvt. Russell R. Teague, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Teague of Schaller, has been awarded the silver star in Germany.  His company was hit by a savage counterattack by six tanks, supported by infantry. With he and his buddy using a bazooka, Teague knocked out two tanks and held the others off until artillery fire forced them back.  A citation said his courageous action was primarily responsible for repulsing the attack.
