John F. Summerson was born July 28, 1910 to John T. and Charlotte Fisher Summerson. He died July 2, 1944 and is buried in Dawson Cemetery, Dawson, IA.
Cpl. Summerson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 500th Bomb Squadron, 345th Bomber Group and died in Hollandia, New Guinea while in the service of his country.
