Maj. Gen. Harry B. Vaughn, jr. commanding general, United Kingdom base, communications zone, European theater of operations, left, pins the bronze star on Lt. Col. Homer F. Sandrock, of Durant, for meritorious service.
Col. Sandrock’s wife, the former Stella Bierkamp, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Bierkmp of Durant. She is making her home in Chicago.
