IN UNIFORM.

Capt. Charles Swanson, 1621 23d Street, has received the distinguished unit citation for his worth with the 308th heavy bombardment group, the famous “Liberators of China.” Capt. Swanson who has been overseas 31 months, also wears two battle stars on his Asiatic-Pacific ribbon and has received the air medal and the Oak Leaf Cluster. This outfit sank and damaged nearly three-quarters of a million tons of vital Japanese shipping.
