Norman Louis Struchen was born Sept. 13, 1923 to Carl and Harriet Johnson Struchen. He died Aug. 14, 1998 and is buried in the Cass Center Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Private Struchen served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II as a waist gunner on a B-17.
He was a member of the National and Iowa Chapter of the 8th Air Force Historical Society, the WWII 96th Bomb Group Association and American Legion Post #191.
