80 Kossuth Men Officially Listed As Casualties In War
FIRST RELEASE OF STATE HISTORICAL DEATH SUMMARIES
Eighty men from Kossuth county lost their lives while in the service of their country in World War II.

Died in Hawaii 1-2-45.

William Cleo Steven was born Feb. 21, 1918 to Harvey and Anna June Wermersen Steven. He died Jan. 2, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Luverne Cemetery, Luverne, IA.
Lt.(JG) Steven served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/KIA.
