Perle Darwin Stainbrook was born Dec. 15, 1918 to Lloyd and Henrietta “Retta” Rouse Stainbrook. He died Apr. 5, 1944 and has a cenotaph in Brandon Cemetery, Brandon, IA.
Lt. Stainbrook served with the U.S. Army Air Corps 15th Air Force, 97th Bomb Group and was MIA/KIA over Ploesti, Romania in a B-17 Bomber.
