Ronald Ray Smith was born Oct. 19, 1915 to Ray V. and Hazel Ferne Pilcher Smith. He died Nov. 30, 1942 and was buried in Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City, IA.
Lt. Smith served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 331st Fighter Squadron, 329th Fighter Group and died in the service of his country.
