Harold Clarence “Nick” Smith was born Feb. 18, 1914 to Isaac R. “Ike” and Johanna “Jo” Halligan Smith. He died Dec. 7, 1944 and is buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Livermore, IA.
Pvt. Smith served with the 17th Infantry, 7th Division and was KIA on Leyte, Philippine Islands while serving with the U.S. Army in World War II.
