Flight instructor William Smid of the enlisted reserve, son of George Smid of Kamrar, is instructing aviation cadets at the Lodwick Aviation Academy at Avon Park, Fla. Instructor Smid enlisted in the air corps reserve in July, 1942, and has been flying for the army since. Prior to enlisting, he had practiced being a chiropractor at Springfield, Tenn.
