Dewayne Dean Simmons was born Jan. 13, 1925 to John F. and Marcella G. Simser Simmons. He died Sept. 15, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Pvt. Simmons served in World War II with the U.S. Army 108th Infantry Regiment, 40th Infantry Division and drowned in an accident in the Philippine Islands.
