Ute, Iowa – Robert F. Sharp, son of Dr. and Mrs. F.S. Sharp, has received his commission as an ensign in the naval reserve, at the University of Notre Dame. Ensign Sharp was a former student at the University of Iowa and was a June graduate of Morningside College.

Robert Floyd “Doc” Sharp was born Sept. 12, 1920 to Floyd S. and Mildred A. Butterworth Sharp. He died July 1, 2008 and is buried in Saint Clair Cemetery, Ute, IA.
LtJG Sharp served in World War II with the U.S. Navy.
