Word has been received here that Robert S. Severson of Jewell has been promoted from second lieutenant to first lieutenant.

Robert Stanton Severson was born May 14, 1911 to Martin Jalmer and Flora Fenton Severson. He died Nov. 23, 1996 and is buried in Fernhill Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, Stuart, FL.
Cameron served in Fort Riley, KS; Fargo, ND; Princeton, NJ; Lexington, VA; and Fort Meade, MD with the U.S. Army in World War II.
