Lt. (j.g.) George Selby arrived here Friday night for a short visit at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Selby. He has just returned from 13 months sea duty in the Atlantic area and will go on from here to California to visit his family.

E. George Selby was born May 14, 1915 to Hugh A. and Pearl N. Knox Selby. He died May 30, 2001 and is buried in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, CA.
Lt. Commander Selby was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving aboard the USS Finch (DE-328), USS Marts (DE-174) and USS England (DE.635).
