News About Men in Service From Over Northeast Iowa
Iowa Falls-Robert Sandberg, seaman first class, is studying to be an aerographer while on sea duty, he has informed his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Sandberg, former Iowa Falls residents who moved to Clear Lake several months ago. While a pupil in the Iowa Falls high school, he took an active part in wrestling. He was a good student at Iowa State College prior to his induction into the Navy. He began sea duty early this year, and is on the Pacific.

Robert Eugene Sandberg was born July 2, 1924 to Henning and Fern Thompson Sandberg. He died Oct. 7, 1982 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Scottsbluff, NE.
