Howard R. Roe was born Oct. 9, 1913 to Thomas C. and Ruby E. Crabtree Roe. He died Mar. 5, 1945 and is buried in Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial, Hamm, Luxembourg.
Sgt. Roe served in World War II with the U.S. Army 22nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Division. He was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Silver Star.
