ON AN L.C.S.
Mr. and Mrs. Guy Prunty of this city have received two certificates issued by the department of the navy, stating that their son, Jonathan Prunty, GM 3-c, served on the L.C.S. No. 65 during the capture and occupation of Okinawa and that he also served during the occupation of Japan. They are signed by the commanding officer and bear the seal of the U.S. Navy. Prunty entered the service in February, 1944 and at present is on duty in Tokyo Bay.

Jonathan G. Prunty was born Apr. 22, 1926 to Guy S. and Zelda Taylor Prunty. He died Jan. 24, 2001 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Jonathan served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
