Howard Ross Porter was born Aug. 14, 1920 to Walter Baker and Florence Margaret Farrell Porter. He died June 6, 1944 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, IA.
Sgt. Porter served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II with the 101st Airborne Division, 506th Parachute Infantry and was KIA in Normandy.
