80 Kossuth Men Officially Listed As Casualties In War
FIRST RELEASE OF STATE HISTORICAL DEATH SUMMARIES
Eighty men from Kossuth county lost their lives while in the service of their country in World War II.

Oliver Mitchell Plumb was born Feb. 27, 1924 to Frederick Walter and Doretta Marie Mitchell Plumb. He died May 25, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Riverview Cemetery, Algona, IA.
Petty Officer Plumb served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/FOD/KIA in the Pacific war zone. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
