Joseph Myldon Phillips was born Jan. 31, 1918 to William and Pearl Glendy Phillips. He died Nov. 12, 1944 and is buried in Eden Cemetery, Rhodes, IA.
Sgt. Phillips served in World War II with the U.S. Army 21st Infantry and died of wounds received in action in the invasion of Leyte Island.
