Jennings Marion Peterson was born June 20, 1917 to Carl C. and Jeanette Jorgenson Peterson. He died May 5, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Lt. Peterson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 1503rd Base Unit and died of injuries sustained in the crash of an aircraft, of which he was a crew member, while engaged in the ferrying of supplies and personnel vital to the war effort in the Pacific area.
