Thomas Edward Ormand, Jr. was born Dec. 9, 1921 to Thomas Edward (Sr.) and Era Eliza Ella Viers Ormand. He died Mar. 18, 1943 and is buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty, IA.
Cpl. Ormand served in World War II with the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps and died in Australia in the line of duty as the result of a skull fracture received in falling from a moving train.
