Joe A. Nordholm was born Sept. 2, 1917 to John Albert “Albert" and Mildred Asher Nordholm. He died Apr. 23, 1945 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint Avold, Lorraine, France and memorialized in Blanchard Cemetery, Blanchard, IA.
Sgt. Nordholm served in World War II with the U.S. Army 254th Infantry Regiment, 63rd Infantry Division and was KIA and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
