Frederick Lee Nelson was born Oct. 8, 1923 to Tony Albert and Pearl Miller Nelson. He died Dec. 16, 1943 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
Pvt. Nelson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 142nd Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division and died in Italy in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
