Luverne Calvin Minnich was born Dec. 29, 1923 to Loren M. and Vallera F. Allen Minnich. He died Oct. 15, 1944 and is buried in Alice Union Cemetery, Conrad, IA.
Lt. Minnich served in World War II with the U.S. Army 434th Base Unit and was killed in a fighter plane crash during a training mission while stationed at Santa Rosa army airfield.
