Floyd Marvin Miller was born Oct. 8, 1921 to Carl M. and Laurentina “Tina” Kloster Miller. He died Aug. 31, 2005 and is buried in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, IA. 

Floyd served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps, training in sniper school prior to going overseas. He served in the Pacific Theater on Saipan and Okinawa. Shortly after the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, Floyd was sent for demolition work.
