Kanawha - Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Lien and baby of Garvin, Minn., returned to their home after visiting the home of Mrs. Lien's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Welch, and her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Mariner. Mrs. Lien's brother, Harold Mariner, pharmacist's mate 2/c from California, is spending a 40-day leave here with relatives.

Harold Dudley Mariner was born Dec. 23, 1923 to Wilson Jay and Myrtle J. Welch Mariner. He died Mar. 15, 1998 and is buried in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.
