Lowell LeMar Myrell was born Feb. 22, 1921 to Albert E. F. and Darlee B. Hopfe Myrell. He died Nov. 21, 1944 and is buried in Elmwood Saint Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, IA.
Sgt. Myrell was KIA when his aircraft a B-17 (Flying Fortress) crashed at Osnabrueck, Germany. He was initially buried at the Achmer airbase, grave 121, row two. Sgt. Myrell served his country in World War II with the Army Air Corps.
