Estherville, Ia.— Lieut. Col. Homer Munson, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Munson of Estherville, arrived here by plane from Washington.

Homer Ceylan Munson was born Sept. 20, 1900 to Ernest Minred and Mary Elizabeth Munson. He died Aug. 1975 and is buried in East Side Cemetery, Estherville, IA.

Ret. Lt. Col. Munson served with the U.S. Air Force. In 1942 he was appointed to fly for Gen. George C. Marshall, then chief of staff of the armed services. He logged 17,000 hours during his 37 years with the Air Force.
