Stewart Millsap Died March 10 on Iwo Jima

WILLIAMS—Word has been received by relatives of the death of Stewart Millsap of the marine corps on Iwo Jima, March 10. He was a raider scout and was reported killed by a Japanese sniper.

He and his brother, Grove Millsap had met on the island a short time before and enjoyed some days together.

His mother, Mrs. Sylvia Talcott Millsap, lives at Downers Grove, Ill., and the youngest brother, Parker is in the European war theater.

James Parker ‘Parker’ Millsap was born Feb. 3, 1925 to Stewart Arthur, Sr. and Sylvia Talcott Millsap. He died May 1, 1992.

James Parker Millsap is buried in Fairview Memorial Park, Northlake, IL.

Parker served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and Korea.
