Warren Lemen “Hez” Michael was born Dec. 15, 1912 to Hezekiah and Rose Lemen Michael. He died June 19, 1987 and is buried in the San Francisco National Cemetery, San Francisco, CA.
Major Michael served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II in England. He and his fellow technicians overhauled 2,500 Packard Rolls-Royce engines after one year of operation. They were hailed by leading civilian aircraft authorities for scoring one of the outstanding production triumphs of the war.
