Fred V. McKee was born Sept. 5, 1905 to Mason H. and Floy E. Davidson McKee. He died Oct. 16, 1944 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy and is memorialized in Grand River Cemetery, Grand River, IA.
Pvt. McKee served in World War II with the U.S. Army 361st Infantry, 91st Infantry Division was was KIA in Italy and awarded the Purple Heart.
