Lt Charles M'Greevey Was Star H.S. Athlete

Charles City -- Mrs. Mary Jean McGreevey received word from the war department, that her husband, 1st Lt. Charles R. McGreevey, was killed in action on Jan. 29, in Belgium. Lt. McGreevey was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.G. McGreevey of Charles City. He was a graduate of the Charles City high school, class of 1940 and was a star player on the Charles City basketball team, and for several years after graduation he was employed at Donaldson's Clothing store. He played basketball on the Oliver Farm Equipment company basketball team after his graduation from high school.
