Joseph Patrick McDonald was born July 27, 1925 to Frank Alexander and Verla A. Mahon McDonald. He died Aug. 9, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Cpl. McDonald served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 72nd Bomber Squadron, 5th Bomber Group, Heavy and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
