Bernard Eugene Mattingly was born Dec. 12, 1925 to Daniel Owen ‘Owen’ and Nellie Mae Kastler Mattingly. He died Jan. 22, 2002 and is buried in Saint Johns Cemetery, Clarion, IA.
Petty Officer Mattingly served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He served on the escort carrier, USS Rendova (CVE-114).
