Pfc. Ward M. Mandel, son of Mrs. P.W. Mandel, 1623 Isabella Street, is en route home from the European theater of operation with the “Bloody Bucket” division, which in eight months saw vicious combat action from Normandy’s hedgerows to the heart of the Reich. Pfc. Mandel holds the following decorations; Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge and E.T.O. Ribbon with three battle stars.
