Mrs. Edwin Madison has received word that her husband, Sgt. Edwin Madison, is somewhere in Germany. He was released from a hospital in France Sept. 4, and in the next letter, written Sept. 10, he was in Belgium. Another letter written Sept. 16, said Sergeant Madision was in Holland, and the last two letters were dated Sept. 23 and 25 and were written from Germany. Sergeant Madison is with the First Army.

Edwin Marquis Madison was born Feb. 5, 1920 to Albert and Lydia Matilda Werling Madison. He died Feb. 10, 2010 and is buried in East Side Cemetery, Estherville, IA.
