Sloan, Iowa—Sergeant J.H. Low, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Low of Sloan, Iowa, is spending a 10-day furlough at the home of his parents. Sergeant Low enlisted December 3, 1942 and is stationed at Camp Claiborne.

OUR NEIGHBORS in the SERVICE.

Sloan, Ia.—T. Sgt. John H. Low has been promoted to that grade from staff sergeant, according to word from the 103d division headquarters of the Seventh army in France.  T. Sgt. Low is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter R. Low of Sloan.  He has been in the army since December 5, 1942, and sailed for overseas duty October 6, 1944.  He has been awarded the expert infantryman’s badge and the combat infantryman’s badge.
