Raleigh Vern Logan, Jr. was born Feb. 4, 1921 to R. Vern (Sr.) and Alberta Alice Logan. He died Apr. 14, 1944 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Centerville, IA.
Lt. Logan served in World War iI with the U.S. Army Air Corps 4th Squadron, 55th Basic Flight Training Group, Strother Field, KS. He was killed in service, piloting BT-13A Valiant #42-1627, in a weather-related ground collision crash.
