News About Men in Service From Over Northeast Iowa
New Haven—Master Sgt. Patrick Lockwood, of New Haven, has been awarded the Good Conduct medal, according to word received from the 12th air force in Italy. He is line chief with a B-35 group, which has been in combat in the Tunisian, Sicilian and Italian campaigns. His group participated in the first raid on Rome, and were the first bombers to operate from a base in Italy. Sergeant Lockwood has been overseas since February, 1943.
