Harvey Lilland was born Nov. 14, 1911 to Ole and Selma Quam Lilland. He died Nov. 13, 1972 and is buried in East Side Cemetery, Jackson County, MN.

Private Lilland served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the 89th Field Artillery Battalion, IA.

Jackson Man Dies While Picking Corn

Harvey Lilland, 61, rural Jackson, died suddenly about 4 p.m., Nov. 13, 1972, on his farm while picking corn.

Funeral services are to be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating. Internment will be made in East Side Cemetery.

Mr. Lilland was born Nov. 14, 1911, to Ole and Selma Quam Lilland at Jewell. He was educated in Armstrong schools after his family moved to that area. He has farmed all his life in the Estherville and Jackson area.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Selma Lilland; one brother, Tenner Lilland, Estherville; four sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Sylvia) Sunde, Estherville; Mrs. Ernest (Lorrene) Gellings, Milwaukee; Mrs. Elmer (Janice) Weir, Estherville; and Mrs. E.L. (Wanda) Cich, Huntington Beach, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his father.
