Omar Hans Lauridsen was born Dec. 19, 1916 to Hans and Christine Claussen Lauridsen. He died Mar. 3, 1945 and is buried in Carroll City Cemetery, Carroll, IA.
Lt. Lauridsen served with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died during a training flight from Alexandria Army Airfield when his B-17 F Flying Fortress #42-30893 exploded and crashed near Winfield, LA.
