Marvin John Lamaak was born Feb. 4, 1923 to John and Carrie Sinning Lamaak. He died July 16, 1944 and is buried in Brittany American Cemetery, Saint James, France and has a cenotaph in Wall Lake Cemetery, Wall Lake, IA.
Pvt. Lamaak served in World War II with the U.S. Army 331st Infantry Regiment, 83rd Infantry Division and was KIA in Normandy, France. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
