Beryl Leon Lahner was born Dec. 9, 1923 to Alva L. and Ferne Olive Bullis Lahner. He died June 17, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, IA.
Lt. Lahner served in World War II with the U.S. Navy as a “Hellcat” pilot, flying off carriers in the Pacific Ocean. He was lost at sea.
