Lyle G. Kurtz - Obituary
Private graveside services for Lyle G. Kurtz, 68, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Graceland cemetery with Rev. Marilyn Buchanan officiating.
Mr. Kurtz died Wednesday evening at the Hamilton County hospital following a lengthy illness.
Lyle G. Kurtz, son of Orlando and Nellie Mitchell Kurtz, was born in Webster City Feb. 20, 1915, and educated here.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, and on July 15, 1942, he was married to Mary Divine, and the couple resided in Idaho, later moving to Webster City.
He is survived by his wife; one son and one daughter, David Laverne Kurtz and Mrs. Henry (Lynne) Froelich, all of California; and two brothers and two sisters, Eldo Kurtz of Webster City, Kenneth Kurtz of Manteca, Calif., Mrs. Lloyd (Vera) Roland of Iowa Falls and Mrs. Paul (Bernice) Jones of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by both parents and one brother.
